Our Commitment to Accessibility
Vivências is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Measures Taken
- Automated accessibility testing with axe-core in our CI pipeline
- Keyboard navigation support across all critical flows
- Screen reader compatibility (tested with NVDA on Windows)
- Sufficient color contrast ratios (WCAG AA compliant)
- Reduced motion support for users who prefer it
- Skip navigation and focus management for keyboard users
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions
Known Limitations
- The interactive discovery map (MapLibre WebGL canvas) is not directly accessible to screen readers. A fully accessible list view alternative is available.
- Some third-party embedded content (payment processing via Stripe) may have accessibility limitations outside our control.
- We are continually improving accessibility and welcome feedback on areas we can enhance.
Testing Methodology
- We test with axe-core (automated WCAG 2.1 AA scanning) integrated into our CI pipeline.
- Manual keyboard testing of all critical user flows.
- Screen reader testing with NVDA on Windows for critical flows.

Conformance Monitoring
We maintain an ongoing process to monitor and improve our accessibility conformance:
- We conduct accessibility audits every quarter using automated tools (axe-core) and manual testing against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
- Audit results are tracked internally and accessibility issues are prioritized for resolution based on impact and severity.
- Next scheduled audit: Q2 2026.
- Accessibility concerns are managed by our development team. For questions or to report issues, contact accessibility@vivenciasturismorural.com.
