By creating an account or using Vivências, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.
Vivências is a marketplace platform for rural tourism in Portugal. We connect guests with accommodation providers and experience hosts. Vivências acts as an intermediary -- we facilitate bookings and payments between guests and partners but are not the direct provider of accommodations or experiences.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Bookings are created when you select dates, confirm guest numbers, and complete payment. A confirmed booking is a binding agreement between you and the accommodation provider, facilitated by Vivências.
All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR). Payment is processed securely via Stripe at the time of booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before check-in for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in may be subject to a charge of the first night's stay. In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, government travel restrictions, or similar extraordinary circumstances), we will work with you to find a fair resolution including full refund or rebooking.
Vivências hosts user-generated content including accommodation listings, experience descriptions, guest reviews, messages between users, and photographs. We are committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy platform while respecting users' rights to expression.
Our platform hosts the following types of user-generated content: property and experience listings created by partners, guest reviews and ratings, photographs uploaded by guests and partners, messages exchanged between users, and profile information.
We use a three-stage moderation pipeline to review content: (1) Automated rules that detect prohibited patterns such as contact information sharing, profanity, and spam; (2) AI-assisted classification that evaluates content for policy compliance; and (3) Human review by trained moderators for final decisions on flagged content.
We use AI-powered tools (Claude by Anthropic) to assist in content moderation. AI assists in classifying content and identifying potential policy violations, but does not make final decisions on content removal. All content removal decisions that affect user rights are reviewed and confirmed by human moderators.
If your content has been moderated, you have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals are reviewed by a human moderator within 48 hours. To submit an appeal, visit our appeal form: Submit an Appeal
If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may submit a formal complaint through our electronic complaint form. Complaints are reviewed by our moderation team and you will be notified of the outcome with a clear explanation of the reasoning behind our decision. You may also contact the Digital Services Coordinator in your Member State or pursue out-of-court dispute resolution.
Under the Digital Services Act (Article 30), partners who offer services through our platform are required to comply with the following obligations:
All content on the Vivências platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Vivências or its content suppliers and is protected by Portuguese and international intellectual property laws.
Vivências acts as a marketplace intermediary. While we strive to ensure the quality of listings, we are not liable for the actions, omissions, or quality of services provided by our partners. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Portuguese law.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law and applicable EU regulations. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Portugal.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
Vivencias uses AI technology (powered by Anthropic Claude) to enhance your experience. This includes: (1) AI-powered support assistance that answers common questions and can escalate to human agents; (2) Clara, our AI travel concierge that helps you discover experiences and plan trips through conversation; (3) AI-generated listing descriptions and quality suggestions for partners; (4) AI-powered review analysis to extract useful insights; (5) Personalized notification content. AI features are optional and can be disabled. AI-generated content is always reviewed by humans before publication. Your conversations with AI assistants may be stored for quality improvement and are subject to the same data protection rules as other personal data. You can request deletion of your AI conversation data at any time through your account settings. AI responses are generated based on our platform data and should not be considered as guarantees of availability, pricing, or service quality.
Vivências uses the Google Ads API to manage and optimize advertising campaigns for our rural tourism marketplace. This integration enables: campaign management and performance monitoring for advertising that promotes our listed properties and experiences; keyword optimization to ensure our ads reach travellers searching for rural tourism in Portugal; conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns; AI-powered ad copy generation that creates compelling advertisements for our listings; and performance analytics dashboards for platform administrators. The Google Ads API is used exclusively by platform administrators for managing the platform's own advertising campaigns — it does not create ads on behalf of partners or users. Our use of the Google Ads API complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Ads API usage is subject to Google's Terms of Service.
